Target Racing was again a major star in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo event held at Nürburgring, the third of the season in the Sant'Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer's European one-make series. Frederik Schandorff and Alex Au further extended their lead at the top of the Pro-Am class with a win in race 1 (their second of the season) and a second place on Sunday in race 2.
Schandorff made a great impression from qualifying, as he claimed P2 overall and the class pole. The Danish driver then retained the same position in the opening stint. He then handed the car over to Au, who completed the task with a flawless race run. With their fifth podium in six races in race 2, they cruised 70 points, 11 more than their direct competitors.
In race 2, Schandorff and Au finished fifth overall, trailing teammates Largim Ali and Oliver Söderström. The Nordic crew confirmed the fourth-place finish achieved in Race 2 at Spa-Francorchamps, barely missing the Pro class podium in both scheduled heats.
Antonios Vossos scored his best result of the season with a positive top-5 in the Am class in race 1. The Greek driver confirmed his good form with a P8 finish in the second race.
