The 2020 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season was completed at Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet last weekend. Target Racing wrapped up its championship by delivering two highly-impressive runs in the races and celebrating the first place in the overall standings. As a result, the team claimed the European Best Team title. It was a deserved result that rewards the commitment and efforts of every component. In addition to that, Di Folco (who was awared as the Most Daring Racer by Roger Dubuis) and Rossel took third place in the overall classification, while Mantovani ended up second in the AM classification.

At Le Castellet, Milos Pavlovic and Kevin Rossel brought the Target Racing Lamborghini Huracan racecars into the top-10 in Q1. In Q2, the cars fielded by Roberto Venieri and his team remained competitive, with Di Folco ending up in P2, just a few hundreds of a second away from the pole. Raul Guzman, who recovered from a bad crash at Spa-Francorchamps, finished in P7. In the opening race, Di Folco and Rossel performed very well to take second place, while bad luck hit Guzman-Pavlovic. The Mexican driver was stopped by a technical problem on the last lap, with Mantovani-Malagamuwa also forced to retire. The second race featured Di Folco-Rossel among the leading contenders again as they crossed the finish line in fourth place, despite a penalty assessed to the Italian driver. The Guzman-Pavlovic pairing ended up fifth, while Mantovani-Malagamuwa also completed a solid run throughout the race.

The year was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemics, which forced every one of its members to work in precarious conditions and face complicated transfers. Despite all the issues, you allowed us to secure a great result and claim the European Best Team title. This is an exceptional achievement which comes thanks to your commitment and sacrifice.
