Target Racing concluded the 2021 Lamborghini Super Trofeo season at Misano in the final round of the European series, followed by the prestigious World Finals, in which the Italian squad achieved a double third place in the points standings.

In the Pro category, the combination of young racers Glenn van Berlo and Raul Guzman scored 14 points with fourth place in race 1 and fifth place in race 2, facing the strong opposition coming from the North American championship. In the Am category, with dedicated qualifying and races, Raffaele Giannoni finished third with the car registered under the Automobile Tricolore banner but technically managed by Target Racing. He took a positive P6 in race 1 on Saturday, before claiming a brilliant second place in race 2 which handed him a chance to celebrate on the World Finals podium.

In the worldwide challenge between the European and American teams, Target Racing scored another podium in the Pro-Am category with Andrea Cola and Dimitri Gvazava. The duo was third in a fascinating race 1 held under artificial lights. The Italian-Russian pairing collected three points in race 2 and finished fourth in the driver classification.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe had already wrapped up on Wednesday and Thursday, with Guzman and van Berlo seventh in the championship in the Pro class. Race 1 had an unlucky ending, with Guzman losing the win minutes before the end and when he had just grabbed P1, due to a puncture caused by contact received from another car. The Dutch-Mexican duo finished eighth overall in race 2, collecting 4 valuable points.

Target Racing had great satisfaction with the other cars at the start. Cola/Gvazava got a good third Pro-Am place in race 1, while Giannoni, back in the series, starred in the Am division winning in race 1 and taking the runner-up spot in race 2. The good work of the team based in Lugo was thus confirmed in all categories of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
