Team Raton Racing by Target took more points last weekend in the second round of Blancpain GT Series Endurance, claiming the fourth position in the AM category with Stefano Costantini, Christoph Lenz and Toni Forné. After finishing second in the 3 Hours of Monza opener event, the Italian squad did well again to clinch the second place in the AM Drivers and Teams standings. Third in its class in the combined Qualifying that considers the average time of the three sessions, the OPPO-backed Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo fielded by Raton Racing by Target started the race with Forné. The Spaniard survided a spectacular fist-lap tangle, going wide to the dirt part of the track. Thanks to some Full Course Yellow periods and a safety car, Forné recovered third before Costantini handed over. After the first pit-stop the Italian driver made an excellent stint, taking the lead of the class. Eventually Lenz, who drove in the last hour, made a little mistake in the very final lap that costed him and the team a podium finish result. In the Am category, the Raton Racing by Target crew now pays 22 points from the leaders Amstutz-Machitski Ramos, same gap that divides it from Barwell Racing in the Teams' standings. Next round get underway in three weeks, when the 1000 Km of Paul Ricard will be raced, just seven days after team Raton Racing by Target will hit the track at the Hockenheimring for the second round of International GT Open Championship.
