Malta Formula Racing enjoyed a really exciting weekend at Imola, in the penultimate round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship, as despite facing some difficult conditions, Kevin Kanayet was able to power away to his maiden win in the championship. The young Colombian started from the pole thanks to the 10th place finish he got in race1, and while he lost the spot at the start, he aggressively reclaimed the lead. On lap 2, a contact caused a lengthy safety-car and at the following re-start, but a cold-bloded Kanayet was able to hold the point, crossing the line ahead of the pack. In addition to the top-10 in race 1, Kevin also brought home an 9th place in race 3. Raul Guzman, who scored seventh place in qualifying 2, rounded out the top-10 in the third heat after ending up 11th in the opening one and 20th in race 2.
