Raton Racing by Target completed yet another great weekend at Silverstone, when it fielded only one OPPO backed Lamborghini Huracán GT3 car in the fifth of seven International GT Open rounds for Liang Jiatong and Raffaele Giammaria. The pair claimed their second victory of the season in Saturday’s race one, as they topped the Pro/Am category as already did at the Paul Ricard track last April. A perfect strategy, managing in the best way a double safety-car period, and the extraordinary job of the drivers let the Roberto Tanca’s squad - technically directed by Roberto Venieri, to celebrate also the sixth overall position. In race two Jiatong and Giammaria showed a great pace again, although the 15-second extra time - due to the previous result - prevented them to grab another podium finish, taking the fourth place in the category. With the two rounds of Barcelona and Monza and four races to the end of the season - that means a maximum of 40 points to be assigned, Jiatong and Giammaria lay third in the standings, 28 pts from leaders Tom Onslow-Cole/Valentin Pierburg.
