DR Formula driver Edoardo Morricone completed a pleasing weekend at Vallelunga, as the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth resumed after a one month and a half long break. The 16-year-old Italian made good steps throughout the weekend, although the end results didn’t reflect the progress, with a best finish of 11th position and fourth of the Rookie class coming in the last Sunday’s race. “I missed the podium in the very last lap, as I did a mistake trying to overtake the driver in front of me”, said Morricone, “Shame for me and the team, that did a great job. We’ll come back stronger next month, in the last round at Mugello”. DR Formula driver was pleased with progress and happy with the car’s performance. Starting from 14th on the grid, he had an unfortunate move in race one as he was forced to retire. Eventually he finished 14th in race two. There is now more than one month for Morricone to wait until he’s back in action, as the seventh and last seasonal round will take place on 27th/28th October at the Mugello track.
